Why Some Families Choose to Stay Onboard in Nassau

Not every port day is created equal. While Nassau offers beautiful beaches and excursions, there are several reasons families — especially those traveling with young kids, may prefer to enjoy the ship:

  • ✔️ Enjoy quieter pools and shorter wait times for popular onboard attractions
  • ✔️ Avoid the hassle of packing up for a few hours ashore
  • ✔️ Take advantage of spa time, dining, or nap breaks
  • ✔️ Explore parts of the ship that are usually more crowded

How We Spent Our Nassau Port Day Aboard the Disney Wish

☕️ Breakfast at 1923

We kicked off our day with a calm and elegant breakfast at 1923. No crowds, no rush — just delicious food and time together.

🎮 Hero Zone Fun

Daniela got to challenge us to air hockey, and we enjoyed having this space mostly to ourselves. It's a great place to burn off energy indoors.

🎢 AquaMouse POV Ride

One of the highlights of staying onboard during Nassau: minimal wait time for AquaMouse! We even captured a full POV ride for our vlog.

🌅 Sunset from Deck 5 Forward

After relaxing in our stateroom and enjoying ice cream, we took a sunset walk on Deck 5 Forward. The views of the ocean — and other cruise ships docked nearby — were stunning.

🍽️ Dinner at Worlds of Marvel

Back in full Disney Cruise Line mode, we dressed up and enjoyed the interactive dining experience with Ant-Man and the Wasp. Staying onboard meant we weren’t tired or rushed for dinner.

🧼 Evening Surprise

We came back to the room to find a towel animal waiting for us — the perfect little touch of Disney magic to end the night.
